Class III-III+ Kayak Tour

Ready to deepen your kayaking skills and refine your river running? Join Boof Sessions on our Class III–III+ kayak tour as we explore Ecuador’s classic rivers. This seven-day adventure blends meaningful skill progression with rich cultural experiences, offering the perfect balance of challenging whitewater and exploration.

  • This tour is designed for paddlers who:

    • Have experience on Class III–III+ whitewater

    • Possess solid paddle strokes and basic river-reading skills

    • Are comfortable leading Class III rapids

    • Have a reliable combat roll and confidence in dynamic conditions

    • Enjoy high-adventure travel and are physically prepared for full days on the river

  • Day 1 : Welcome to Ecuador! Breakfast & transfer to Baeza (2 hour ride) or Tena (3 hour ride). Check in at lodge, lunch, kayak outfitting, roll and kayak assessment followed by dinner.


    Day 2: Jatanyacu River- Beautiful jungle big water for a first day warm up run!


    Day 3: Mishaulli- Intro to creeking with fun boofs and drops in an amazing setting.


    Day 4: Lower Jondachi + Hollin- Hike in with local porters to one of our favorite Amazonian rivers. Interesting rapids, stunning waterfalls, and plenty of birds.


    Day 5 : Back to Baeza! Intro to the Quijos- ‍ Our favorite river originating from the epic Volcano Antisana. We will start out on a gorgeous section through the winding Chaconito canyon.


    Day 6 :‍ ‍Bon Bon + Lower Quijos-

    Big waves, big boofs, and lots of play!


    Day 7: Chaco Canyon- Pushing your skills on one of the best sections on the Quijos River.

    Leave to Airport:

    If time allows, we can head to Papallacta hot springs. When the sky is clear catch a view of Volcan Antisana one of the many striking Volcanoes in the area.

      -Town of Baeza Lodging: Cabanas Tres Rios

      -City of Tena Lodging: Orchid Paradise Hosteria or Villa Belen

      *All rooms are shared rooms. $250 Surcharge per week for a private room

      -Boof Sessions will take you to the best local spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
